According to Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1945 of 21 February 2020 on documents to be issued by Member States pursuant to Article 18(1) and (4) and Article 26 of the Agreement on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community (notified under document C (2020) 1114), residence documents issued under Article 18 (4) of the Withdrawal Agreement have the uniform format for residence permits for third-country national laid down in Regulation (EC) No 1030/2002 and its annex, as amended by Regulation 380/2008 and Regulation (EU) 2017/1954.
The validity of the residence permit to be issued to the WA beneficiaries, who have not acquired the right of permanent residence in Greece, in accordance with the provisions of articles 15 and 16 of the WA, is five (5) years.
The validity of the residence permit to be issued to the WA beneficiaries, who have acquired the right of permanent residence in Greece, in accordance with the provisions of articles 15 and 16 of the WA, is ten (10) years.
It is noted that as of 10th December 2024 there have been changes in the printing of the secure documents issued in Greece, including those to Withdrawal Agreement beneficiaries, in the context of enhancing security features in the fight against forgery and other crimes related to identity documents.

Please note that the residence documents printed and issued to Withdrawal Agreement beneficiaries before 10.12.2024 (i.e. from 01.01.2021 to 09.12.2024) remain valid until their expiry date.
On the residence permit, there is an indication for:
a) the right of permanent residence (if applicable)
b) the family members (if applicable) and
c) the full access to the job market.
The fingerprinting procedure is mandatory for the issuance of the residence permit.
