National List of Inadmissible Third Country Nationals – Schengen Information System (N.S.I.S.)

Which department is responsible for examining requests for deletion from the National List of Inadmissible third country nationals and the Schengen Information System (N.S.I.S.) of the Greek authorities?

Competent Departments are the Departments of Aliens for the regions of Attica and Thessaloniki and the police departments of the country for the rest of Greece. The person concerned should have:

(a) an application, which should be submitted via Greek Consular authorities (article 38 par. 2 of the Greek Law 3907/2011) or be ratified by the Apostille of the Hague Convention, where required.

(b) a certified photocopy of the passport or residence permit (article 3 par. 4 of the Greek Law 2690/1999).

c) any evidence which, in the judgment of the person concerned, will be taken into account in the wording of the judgment for deletion from the relevant lists (e.g. innocent court decisions, acquittal of court judgments, residence permit for children or spouse, attestations for the submission of supporting documents for the issuance of residence permits, provided that third-country nationals are registered in the relevant lists due to a previous illegal stay ).
