Understand the Impact of Novel Technologies, Social Media, and Perceptions in Countries Abroad on Migration Flows and the Security of the EU & Provide Validated Counter Approaches, Tools and Practices.

The PERCEPTIONS project aims to identify and understand narratives, imaginations and (mis-)perceptions of the EU – held outside of Europe – and the way they are distributed via various channels. Furthermore, we investigate how the information flow might be distorted and how a mismatch of expectations and reality caused by certain narratives might lead to security threats.

As dedicated use case partner and border authority for the research site in Greece, HP provide firsthand insights to the research WPs, as well as carry out dedicated tasks under the guideline of the research partners. Furthermore, HP will provide relevant insights to the solution development, and participate in testing and validation activities, as well as the stakeholder events carried out during the WPs. Lastly, HP will contribute to the dissemination activities.
