NOTIONES (iNteracting netwOrk of inTelligence and securIty practitiOners with iNdustry and acadEmia actorS)

NOTIONES started on 01-09-2021 and has a duration of sixty (60) months, while the Hellenic Police joined the project on 28-11-2023, funded by the Horizon 2020 European Union Funding.A total of 29 institutions (Law Enforcement Authorities, Universities, Military, Civil, Political, Economic, Judicial, Local, National and International) from a number of different countries such as Spain, Italy, Finland, Bulgaria, Austria, France, Poland, Slovakia, Georgia, Sweden, Estonia, United Kingdom, Israel, are participating in the project.

NOTIONES project focuses on the establishmentof a knowledge exchange network forintelligencepractitionersand researchers as well as industry stakeholderes, to support their needsand planning on security research area.It identifies state-of-the-art technologies and shapes requirements and standardization needs of security professionals at European level.

NOTIONES project aims to monitor technologies and define requirements and best practices with a view to their dissemination to practitioners and researchers. Through an iterative cycle, the best practices will be synthesizedinto specifications for industry and academia across Europe, providing tangible benefits to those organisations engagedin intelligence and security.

The results of the five-year NOTIONES project will be presented to the wider information community, at workshops and conferences, and will help to define further security and information research.
