The Hellenic Police is participating in the research project entitled “Inter operable applications suit to enhance European identity and document, security and fraud detection” with the acronym “Einstein”, of the « Horizon- Europe» funding programme.
This project started on 01/01/2024 and has a duration of thirty-six (36) months, with a total of nineteen (19) participants from Greece, Germany, France, Netherlands, Norway, Italy, Ireland, Bulgaria, Moldova and Slovakia, including seven (7) research organisations, two (2) police authorities, four (4) universities, two (2) economic institutions, three (3) public authorities and one (1) border guard authority.
This action aims to create innovative technologies and applications to combat forgery of identification and other travel documents. In particular, innovative applications will be developed, aiming, in general, at researching and testing modern tools and technological methods aimed at both effective control and detection of false security documents.
By participating in this action, to the Hellenic Police is given the opportunity to pilot use the above applications in order to investigate their functionality and the added value that may offer.
