Aristeidis ANDRIKOPOULOS
Police Lieutenant General

He was born in the city of Patras in 1960.

He graduated from the 1st Senior High School of Patras in 1978.

He joined the Urban Police (Astynomia Poleon) force in 1982 and graduated from the Hellenic Police Lieutenants’ School in 1988.

He attended the School of Further Education and Training of the Hellenic Police Academy in 2000.

He served as senior police officer in various operational units at the General Regional Police Directorates of Western Greece, Peloponnese and the Ionian Islands.

In April 2014, he was promoted to the rank of Police Major General and posted to the Regional Police Directorate of the Ionian Islands.

From August 2014 to 2015, he held the position of the Deputy General Police Director of Attica and, from March 2015 to 2016, the position of the General Regional Police Director of Western Greece.

He was the President of the Western Greece Police Officers Association for 12 years. He also held the position of the First Vice-President of the Panhellenic Federation of Police Officers, as well as other high-ranking positions in it. In 2002, he was elected Deputy General Secretary of the European Council of Police Unions (CESP).

On 16.02.2016, he was promoted to the rank of Police Lieutenant General and appointed General Police Inspector for Southern Greece.

On 21.01.2017, he was appointed Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Police.

On 05.08.2018, he was appointed Chief of the Hellenic Police by the Government Council for Foreign Affairs and Defence (KYSEA).

He is married to Androniki Proselenti and has two children, Georgia and Charalampos, both of whom are university graduates.
